Hello my name is Amber Bartlett and I am 26 years old. I have been grooming since 2018 with 7 years of experience. I have been happily married since 2022 and i have got 2 children. I was born in Poole and now live in the Hamworthy area. All of my life I have wanted to work or to interact with animals. Since I was young I always wanted to be a vet, a RSPCA investigator or working at a kennels. I have grown up with 2 cats and 2 dogs from home.
In 2015 I have left school with 6+ GCSE's and went on to do a 2 year course in photography and received 3 Distinction *s which is equivalent to 3 A Levels. I really wanted to do something that was related to pets with my qualification but unfortunately there wasn't any jobs going about for that part of the industry.
Since then I have done Level 2 and Level 3 in Dog Grooming. I have also worked in a groomers as well to gain experience and to learn hands on. I love my job as a dog groomer because every dog that have come into my care for grooming have always been treated with the same attention. I do 1 to 1 grooming as I can keep all my attention on one dog for the time it needed to be done. This is because then it creates a stress free environment especially for nervous dogs. Then me and the dog can start to grow respect and trust for one another which can be a special thing.
